D.A. Davidson & Co. has announced the promotions of Patrick O'Leary, class of 1991, to senior vice president, financial consultant. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration with a minor in economics from Carroll and joined the firm in May 1996.

Otsego Memorial Hospital (OMH) and the OMH Medical Group in Gaylord, Michigan, has hired a new physician assistant, Shannon Gabel-Dorr, PA-C, class of 1994. She joins Kristin Maschke, MD, and Michael McNamara, DO, at the OMH Montmorency Medical Clinic located in Lewiston, Michigan. After graduating from Carroll in psychology, she received her master's degree in physician assistant studies at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Mont. She has been in practice for 10 years, with experience in both family practice and surgery. Gabel-Dorr and her husband moved to Gaylord from the state of Wyoming in 2009 with their two daughters.

On March 25, Andrew Gilbert, class of 1999, and wife Katie (McCarvel) Gilbert, class of 2000, of Cottonwood, Idaho, welcomed new baby Matthew Thomas Gilbert. He joins older brother John, who will be two in June. 

Jill Burger, a CPA and class of 2002 graduate, of Helena, Mont., has joined Great West Engineering as part of the firm's administration group. Her background includes seven years of experience in accounting and finance. She will assist with accounts receivable, accounts payable, contract administration and the preparation of financials.
