Deaths
Mary Kay Holbrook, class of 1973, died on Nov. 8, 2008, at Benefis Hospital in Great Falls from a brain aneurism. She was the mother of Carroll freshman Mary Elizabeth Holbrook. After earning her degree from Carroll, she began her career in social work in Helena and Great Falls, then spent the next 28 years in retail with Hennessey's/Dillard's in the Billings and Helena communities. She recently became a property manager with the Helena Housing Authority. A great supporter of St. Andrew School in Helena, she worked annually with the Emerald Isle Auction, the school's primary fund-raiser. Mary Kay was also an active member of the Cathedral of St. Helena and the Kiwanis Club. Serving on the board of the United Way she was named its 2000 Volunteer of the Year.
