Helena-MT. Coach Maureen Boyle announced the signing of another Montana prep volleyball standout. Catie Hanser, a senior at Billings Central High School in Billings, has signed a letter of intent to continue her education and volleyball career at Carroll College.
Hanser has earned All-State and All-Conference honors for volleyball and was named to the All-State All-Class Tribune dream team. Her performance earned her co-most valuable player of the divisional tournament. Hanser was also awarded the Sportsmanship Award at the divisional tournament. A 3-sport athlete at Billings Central, she also competes in swimming and Track & Field. Along with her many athletic honors, Hanser will graduate with a 3.4 GPA, which has earned her Academic All-State recognition. She is planning on a pre-med or pre-physical therapy major. Story
Coach Maureen Boyle has announced the signing of another Montana prep volleyball standout. Emma Priddy, a senior at Loyola Sacred Heart High School in Missoula, has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her education and volleyball career at Carroll College.
Priddy is a 3-sport athlete at LSHHS playing softball, basketball, and volleyball. Her performance has earned her All-Conference and All-State in both volleyball and softball and All-Conference accolades in basketball. However, Emma has not limited herself to the opportunities in high school. She has also been a member of the Montana Volleyball Academy, and is playing with the 18-Elite team this club season. Story
Recognition for the Frontier Conference Champion Carroll College Volleyball team continued this week with a handful of honors for the set and spike crew.
Christina Smetana along with teammate Sammy Priddy were named to the Northwest All-Region 1st Team. Together the tandem of Smetana and Priddy were one and two respectively for the Saints in Kills this season. Priddy was also second in digs, fourth in blocks, and second in assists. Meanwhile Smetana was first in blocks, blocks per set, hitting percentage, and kills per set. Story

Helena-MT. Carroll College Head Volleyball Coach Moe Boyle has announced that Havre High School standout Karla Hellegaard has committed to play volleyball for the Carroll College Fighting Saints in the fall of 2010.
Hellegaard was a first team All-Conference and All-State selection in 2008 & 2009, while leading Central A in kills per game both seasons.Story
Senior middle blocker and Helena native, Christina Smetana, was selected as a 2009 Tachikara-NAIA Volleyball All-American. Christina led the Frontier Conference with 422 kills, 159 blocks, and a 0.366 hitting percentage.
Smetana averaged 3.3 kills per set and 1.2 blocks per set over the 2009 season and earned Conference player of the year honors. Smetana is the first student athlete to earn this highly regarded All-American award in coach Maureen Boyles’ tenure. She is one of only 28 student athletes selected nationwide for the 2009 All-American team. She finishes her career on the Saints top 10 all-time lists in four categories: kills per set, hitting percentage, total blocks, and blocks per set. She will end up in the top five all-time Saints players in total kills. more

The No. 23 Saints dropped their semifinal match of the Frontier Conference Tournament to No. 21 Lewis-Clark State 15-25, 23-25, 25-15, 25-23, 15-10 on the Warriors’ home court in Lewiston, Idaho.
With the loss, the Saints lose any chance of an automatic berth in the NAIA national tournament. But, with 32 teams selected to go, Carroll is waiting with bated breath. Story
