Position:  Education Lab Monitor

 

Department:  Education & Physical Education

 

Purpose of Job:  To monitor, organize, and maintain the Education Labs and to assist students who use the lab.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:  Be present during lab hours to:  organize lab materials, assist students with lab assignments, maintaining the check-out system of materials, encourage students to return materials as needed, identify needed materials, identify machines or materials that need improvement, maintain positive working environment for students, maintain orderly placements of materials and supplies.

 

Qualifications:  Works well with faculty, staff, and students.  Possesses positive organizational skills.  Can work with minimal supervision to complete tasks accurately.  Is currently enrolled in, or has successfully completed an audiovisual course or has knowledge of operating audiovisual materials.  Must have taken CS103 and pursuing a teacher education course of study.

 

Employment Specifications:  Work-Study Preferred

 

Approximate Hours/Week:  10 - 15 hrs./week

 

Special Time/Schedule Requirements:  None.

 

Length of Employment:  Fall and Spring

 

Wage Rate:  $6.55/hr.
