Berberets Create Endowed Scholarships and Professorship

Dr. Jerry (class of 1963) and Cheryl Berberet are responsible for two endowed matched scholarships. Dr. Berberet set up a scholarship in his own name, specifically to offer tuition assistance for history majors. The Dr. Jerry Berberet Scholarship is being partially funded by the college's board of trustees in appreciation of Dr. Berberet's service as dean and senior vice president for academic affairs. In addition, Dr. Berberet and members of his family have also established an endowed scholarship in honor of his parents Bill and Grace. Both of these scholarships are being matched by Carroll. In addition, Dr. Berberet established in 2008 the Hank Burgess Professorship in English to honor the longtime, beloved Carroll professor, now a Carroll professor emeritus of languages and literature.
