GoalIn accordance with the Carroll College Mission Statement, the Library Research Skills Component of English 102 will prepare students to find and evaluate information, and plan and conduct library research.
Objectives
  • Demonstrate the ability to critically evaluate and distinguish different levels of information
  • Demonstrate the ability to use library catalogs and databases
  • Become familiar with library classification systems
  • Develop research methodology skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to select appropriate resources
  • Document information sources using standard style manuals
