Getting Connected on Campus
There are many ways to be connected on campus, and we'll outline all of them here. The highlights:
- Get an Account: A Carroll account is the best way to stay connected. The account allows you to log on in all campus labs, to receive emails of important academic information, and to access student-only features on the web.
- Get Email: Do you need to know how to get your email on the web, use POP3 or IMAP to check it, or find out your email box size limit? Then we've got answers.
- Get on ResNet: If you plan to have your own computer in the resident halls, you'll want to connect to ResNet to have internet access including access to email and printing.
- Get Wireless: The newest way to stay connected on campus is wireless. Wireless is currently available in the student center and library with more areas to come soon.
- Get Help: You're also always connected to help services when you have a problem or question. Check out our help section to learn more about your Resident Technical Assistants and help desk hours. We also keep an updated FAQ section.
- Get Your Game Console on the Network: In order to use a video game console (Microsoft XBox, XBox 360, Sony Playstation 2, Playstation 3, or Nintendo Wii) or DVR Devices (TiVo) on Carroll's network, you must register the console's MAC address.
