Print Numbers
Due to the fact that 1 color print registers equal to 3 black and white prints - you may run out of your print quota even though you have not printed 350 pages.
Quotas
Students can print up to 350 pages per semester at no addition charge. Students are provided a $35.00 print quota as part of the student's technology fee. Print quotas are tallied for each student and charged against the $35.00. Black & white laser prints are charged at $.10 per page and color laser prints are charged at $.25 per page.
If you reach the $35.00 limit before the end of the semester, you may purchase additional pages in $5.00 quantities. Bring your receipt from the Carroll Business Office to the CCIT office, room 113 O'Connell Hall, and we will increase your print quota accordingly.
Printing Best Practices
- Make sure your computer is not targeted to print to a color printer unless you need a color print.
- Only print out the information you need. Many times you will only need a portion of a document printed.
- Be sure to select only the pages you need in the Print dialog box. Not only will you be saving the cost of paper and ink but you will also save the life of a few trees.
- Please do not purchase any more print quota than you plan to use... it's non-refundable! However, we will carry over your purchased print quota from fall to spring semesters, and from spring to summer semesters.
