I just wanted to say thank you to the Carroll community for being a part of the Carroll College ‘Toys for Tots' toy drive this past December. We collected over 200 toys that were donated and distributed to children throughout the Helena area. That's awesome! - Chad Gray
German Scholarships available
ANNOUNCEMENT: Applications for a one-year study and internship programs (SIP) in Germany are now being accepted through February 15th 2009 for the academic year of 2009-2010.
The program offers a tuition waiver and a stipend of 700 Euros per month for one academic semester in one of our accredited German Universities followed by a summer internship. View the brochure with further details.
Semester Break Information
The Student Life page for the weeks of December 21st-January 11th has information posted on semester break, emergency contact information, deadline for posting final course grades for Fall 2008, holiday basketball tournaments, new student orientation for Spring 2009 and important dates for Spring 2009. Martin Luther King Day Forum
In recognition of Martin Luther King Day, Carroll College will be hosting the panel discussion, "Segregation, Integration and Jubiliation in the Old South, on Monday, January 19th at 7pm in All Saints Hall in the Campus Center. Panelists will include the Reverend Jerry Lowney, Sociology faculty member; Reverend George Harper, local pastor; and Dorothy Harper, former Carroll faculty member. Panelists will present their first-hand experiences of living in the South during Segregation.
Attention Juniors!
The Honor Thesis Application forms are due in the office of the Academic Dean on February 10, 2009.
The thesis work for honor students is designed to encourage creative thinking and to stimulate individual research. Interested students should decide upon a thesis project as early as possible in the junior year so that adequate attention may be given to the project. In order to be eligible to apply to write a thesis, a student must have achieved a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25 based upon all courses completed at Carroll College and any courses accepted for transfer credit from other institutions. Applications and further information are available in the Office of Academic Affairs (OC 242).
