Can't find the local (Helena area) internship you want on the board? The internships listed on the board are local opportunities that employers are actively recruiting; however, we have numerous other possibilities with Helena employers and agencies who previously have had Carroll College student interns. Many times, all we need to do is ask if they are willing to open up an internship for a student who is seeking the type of experience their organization offers. To access these possibilities, come to Career Services and ask to see the Local Internship Files. We will be glad to assist you in locating or developing the internship of your choice!

Koch Associate Program

The Koch Associate Program is a year-long, paid program designed to develop promising leaders and entrepreneurs interested in liberty and help them develop the knowledge, skills and experience necessary for careers with market-oriented think tanks, policy institutes, and other non-profit organizations. During the program, Associates work in non-profit roles four days a week and spend one day a week at the Foundation learning Market-Based Management®. Associates range in experience level from recent graduates to those with a decade of work experience. The Koch Internship Program is a condensed version of the Koch Associate Program.

This marvelous program features over 900 field placements, one-of-a-kind seminars, and independent living in an exciting urban setting. As an intern, you’ll work four days a week in a well-supervised, unpaid position for academic credit. Students are assured of receiving substantial work experience and exploring possible career options. Internship with Senator Baucus: in Montana or Washington, D.C.

A Washington Internship with Senator Baucus is an active, educational, and para professional experience in the United States Senate as a representative of Senator Baucus and the State of Montana. Interns are employed for each academic semester and during the summer months. Interns may select either part-time or full-time status to correspond with their schedules.

Internships are available on Capitol Hill or in any of Montana offices. Interns have a terrific opportunity to learn more about the legislative process. While the positions are unpaid, most interns agree that this experience gives them valuable insights into the workings of the U.S. Congress and a chance to help serve fellow Montanans.
