Role of the Vice President for Student Life

As the Vice President for Student Life, Dr. Hardwick serves as the supervisor for the directors of these Student Life departments: Athletics, Campus Ministry, Career Services and Testing, Community Living, Counseling Services, Health Center and Student Activities and Leadership. Two contracted services, Securitas (Security) and Sodexo (Dining Services), also work as partners with Student Life.

The role of the Vice President for Student Life is to facilitate the involvement of Student Life departments in the college's strategic planning, budgeting and development of services and out-of-classroom learning to respond to the needs of students. Dr. Hardwick works closely with the college president, the other college vice presidents, the associate vice president for enrollment, and the student president of the Associated Students of Carroll College to support the needs of students.

The Vice President for Student Life is the person designated by the college president to be responsible for the administration of the Carroll Code of Student Conduct. Dr. Hardwick develops policies for the administration of the student conduct code and appoints a Student Conduct Administrator to oversee the student conduct system processes.
