![]() | Laura Pickens Laura Pickens is pleased to have joined the Carroll College Wellness Center in January of 2004 as the Office Manager. She has several years experience with medical administration and is currently enrolled in the nursing program at Carroll. Laura has lived in Montana for the past 15 years, residing in Helena for the majority of that time. While away from Carroll she spends time enjoying the outdoors camping, fishing, hiking and exploring the beauty this area has to offer. She also enjoys reading, writing, and loves to learn and experience new things. |
![]() | Kathleen Joyce-Trudnowski, RN Kathleen Joyce-Trudnowski is privileged to assist students in caring for their health, supporting their "wellness" and educating them on health care issues or concerns. She started her Nursing career at Carroll College in a Diploma Program and obtained her B.S. in Nursing from Marillac College in St. Louis, Missouri. Kathleen has worked full-time in a variety of positions before coming to Carroll. She has been in the Nursing field for 33 years. She has worked in hospitals, nursing homes, home health, summer camps and a variety of other positions; including nine years as a traveling nurse. Kathleen and her husband, Jim, live on Canyon Ferry Lake. Outside of their time at Carroll, attending functions, they enjoy their time together- fishing, boating, gardening, or just having some quiet time to spend out in God's nature, hiking and traveling. |
![]() | K. Mike Franklin, Ed.D.,LCPC Mike is privileged to be serving Carroll students as they pursue their academic and personal goals. He received his B.S. in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, his M.Div. from Duke University, S.T.M. from Yale University in Theology, and his Ed.D. in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University at Sarasota. Mike is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Prior to coming to Carroll, Mike served as a United Methodist Church pastor and Navy chaplain for 18 years. Though Mike hails from southern Montana (South Carolina), he has lived in eleven different States and in the Republic of Panama and Great Britain . He has taught at the undergraduate level prior to coming to Carroll and is currently adjunct faculty teaching an Alpha Seminar and Psychology Class. Mike enjoys spending time with friends, hiking, and cross country skiing. He is actively involved with the Bankrupt Brain Trust and the Hauser Boulevard Literary Society. Mike's dog Gracie: |
![]() | Carol Chisholm, Associate Director of Counseling LCPC LAC Carol welcomed the opportunity to join the Wellness Center Staff in July 2008 to serve the students of Carroll College. Carol is a Helena native and alumna of Carroll College. Carol has spent the last 25 years serving the community of Helena as a Marriage and Family Therapist and Addictions Counselor. She has maintained a private practice most of that time working with families, adolescents, and couples addressing a wide variety of mental health issues. She also has experience as a case manager and therapist in a hospital psychiatric setting. In addition, Carol has a rich background as an educator. She formerly worked with the Diocese of Helena and the parishes and schools in the Butte community as a religious education teacher, program director, and resource consultant. Carol happily joins the Carroll family as the Associate Director for the Wellness Center |
![]() | Erin S. Kuntzweiler, RN Erin S. Kuntzweiler is a registered nurse who joined the Wellness Center fall semester 2007. She obtained her BSN from Gannon University in Erie, PA where she grew up. She has been in Montana for 8 years and is attending Gonzaga University to obtain her masters degree in nursing. Erin has worked in ICU, Labor & Delivery and has spent the last 8 years in emergency nursing. She currently works in St. Peter's Hospital Emergency Room also. Erin is married and has five children, four dogs, four horses and one cat. When not working or studying she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Skiing, rock climbing, and winter camping are her favorite hobbies. Erin is looking forward to working with the Carroll students on their health and wellness. |
![]() | Kelly Parsley She worked as the Sexual Assault Prevention Services Coordinator for the Montana Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence and served on their Board of Directors for four years. She served two years on the Montana Crime Victim's Services Committee, and for the past three years she has been appointed to the Governor's AIDS Advisory Council as well as the Lewis and Clark County DUI Taskforce. In 2006-2007 she served as the Executive Director of Helena's Youth Connections, an organization committed to prevention of teen use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. In the fall of 2000, Kelly Parsley was appointed to the Advisory Council of the National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC). She was elected Vice Chair of that organization in 2001 and was elected President in 2002-2005. In 2006 she wrote the field guide that Montana law enforcement officers use to respond to sexual assault crimes. She also created and coordinated Carroll College's victim advocacy program in 1996 and continues that work today. She advocates for students in sexual assault crises and assists the college in creating healthy dating and violence prevention workshops as well as policies and procedures to support victims of crime. |
